Back to Basics

HI EVERYONE! It’s been a while xx

I’ve been so busy in the best best way ever and I feel like I want to use this post to not only catch up, but also talk about my most favorite basic but classic outfit.

How is everyone?! My life has been a whirlwind but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My job is amazing and I can’t stop soaking up everything that my career has to offer. Because of my busy commuting and work schedule, I haven’t been blogging as much, but that’s okay!! I know I can always come on here to give and update and talk about a look because it’s my own little outlet.

Aside from work, I’m moving! In two weeks my boyfriend and I are going to be moving in together and we seriously cannot wait. Our weekends are filled with Target trips and packing so it’s definitely a crazy time. I’m excited (about moving) and stressed (about packing). I mean, how does one take their entire wardrobe to a one bedroom apartment?! UGH YOU DONT! I know I’m going to have to leave some clothes home and it kills me inside. HOWEVER, I will be building a life with the person I love and filling our apartment with OUR things, so whenever I think of that, my stress goes away.

Shall we get into this look?

This outfit is SO simple but it’s one of those outfits that I feel my best in. The jeans are from American Eagle (I got them on sale I think) and they’re the most comfortable. They’ve always been a little cropped on the bottom, but I cut the seams off myself and love the frayed look. The top is actually from my grandmas closet (lol) but I cannot pass up a turtle neck. I truly am only going to miss turtlenecks as it keeps getting warmer. Throw on a designer belt and your favorite slide on shoes and you’ve got a complete outfit. This look is simple, classic and chic. It doesn’t take a lot to make a stylish outfit that is going to be timeless, and I think this outfit is the best example of that.

I just had a thought — I think at the end of my posts I’m going to start doing a tip, so let’s start now?

Rae Tip — if you’re on the shorter side, wear a cropped pant to make you look a little taller and slimmer. Baggy pants will make you appear shorter.

Talk soon!

Xx Rae
