The City of Dreams

I am popping on today just to say hi! It’s been a while…I feel like I write that every time I write a post, which should be a sign that I should blog way more.

Either way, I’m here to talk about my second favorite city in the world. I know, I know, it’s second place. However, my first and only true love is the city of Florence in Italy, and it will always and forever have my heart. However, New York City is my second love and I am okay with that.

I have been loving being able to work in Manhattan every week. I just love the vibe of the city…it’s just so electric. Even though I wake up at 5 a.m. and travel two hours to get there, it truly does not seem to phase me at all, I am just as excited to be there as I was the day before. You may be thinking, ‘oh, that’ll wear off’ and to be honest, I don’t think it ever will…or not that I can tell in the near future.

I walk down the street and think to myself, “everyone in this city is here for a reason.” It seems like everyone walking down the street is trying to fulfill some type of dream of theirs, just like I am doing. Otherwise, why would you go to the most hectic, sleepless and energy filled city in the world? Exactly. Everyone must be there to live out some dream of theirs, some fantasy.

The amount of fashion inspiration I get from just walking to work each morning is insane! I know it’s the place for me to live out my dreams, and I am so lucky and grateful that I get to. I don’t even care if I am being cliche or cheesy about New York City, I get to be. I thought of this point in my life for a long time—I always dreamed that it would come but I never really thought it was something tangible. Now that it is, enter my cheesiness about NYC. I welcome it with open arms!

Talk soon.
