How I prep my skin for the cold using Aveeno products

Just in time for time for the colder weather, a package from Aveeno showed up on my doorstep!

Two years ago when I was having trouble with my skin, I went to the dermatologist and she recommended some Aveeno products to me. Ever since that day, I have been hooked on this quality, affordable and clean drugstore brand. I got my mom hooked on it, my roommate and even my boyfriend! All of their products are so gentle that you simply cannot go wrong. Their facial cleanser and clear complexion moisturizer cleared up the problems I was having with my skin at the time so I am forever loyal to them!

Before receiving these three products, I had been using their clear complexion moisturizer anyways and now, I just have more Aveeno products to add to my collection! Let’s get into them:

The Positively Radiant Exfoliating Body Wash: I love a good foaming body wash to use on my loofa so this product fits nicely into my life and every day routine. I’ve been using it since the day I got it and I have to say, it’s very moisturizing and has a fresh, clean smell. The bottle is nice and big so I know it’ll last long and I enjoy how gentle it is. I usually opt for a body wash with a lotion factor in it, but even without that, this one stands up against my other ones as far as moisture goes.

The Positively Radiant Body Lotion: I am not going to lie, I don’t use lotion half as much as I should but come on, it’s so annoying to put on unless you have ample time and set out to pamper yourself before you get ready. For me, that’s never. I barely make time to shower never mind moisturize after. I head that you can put it on while you’re in the shower but every time I do that I feel like nothing happens..does anyone do that? Let me know in the comments! I have the sweatiest palms (haha) so trying to put lotion on while I’m warm from the shower and running around is not my favorite thing to do. However, for the sake of this review I DID use the lotion. (Ok, I used it after I already had my shorts on so I just rubbed some randomly on my legs and put the excess on my arms) but I DID use it! If I were going to religiously use lotion, this would be the one to use. I know a lot of you out there are avid lotion-ers so this one’s for you. This moisturizer has a great formula to it, it claims to enhance your skins natural radiance and it smells really clean, just like the body wash does! I think the two of these products would work really nice hand in hand.

The Positively Radiant Targeted Cream Dark Spot Corrector: This cream is the definition of RADIANT! I have been using it on and off for about a week, and am seeing a difference with dark spots on my chest! A bonus? It’s also a sunscreen! It is SPF 15 and doesn’t even feel like a sunscreen! I am really excited to keep using this throughout the colder months too, because did you know we are supposed to be wearing sunscreen all year long!? I knew that, but never got around to applying it in the winter too. Now that I have a product like this, that enhances my skin’s natural glow and evens skin tone, I will be more likely to have sunscreen on all year long! I don’t know about you, but even at 22-years-old, I am thinking about wrinkles, sun spots and more. Now’s the time to PREVENT all of that so it never happens!

It’s been a while since I reviewed a product so this was fun for me! If you’ve tried any Aveeno products, let me know! I’ve been so loyal to this brand for a long time and I was so happy to receive some goodies from them in the mail!

Disclaimer: I was sure to use each product before I wrote this review so that I can provide you my honest opinion. Though I was sent these Aveeno products via Brand Backer, all of my thoughts and opinions are my own.

‘Till next time!
XOXO, Rae
