April Showers Bring…Cute Rain Gear!

Long time, no blog!

I feel as though lately I have had a lot of Instagram content (and could probably have turned it into blog content), but life just breezes by us sometimes and certain things slip away. Anyways, after the holiday (and all the food), I am here and bringing you some really exciting stuff!

Being a partner with HFX Performance lets me bring you all really amazing outerwear, and this yellow Chloe rain coat is no exception! Lets get into the deets of it. Ps. if you LOVE this jacket like I do, here’s the link to purchase: CLICK HERE

The Chloe is first of all, super light weight and the material literally feels like the rain will propel off you, that’s how good of a rain coat it is. The inside is lined with herringbone material to keep you at a comfortable temperature, no matter what degree goes along with the rain. It has a hood (of course!!), along with under arm vents to keep you cool, and full pockets...because who isn’t obsessed with pockets.

My most favorite parts of the Chloe is first, the color. Yellow is so chic these days, and when I think of rain coats, for some reason yellow comes to mind. Second, the fit of the coat is just amazing. As with all HFX jackets, they really keep their audience in mind, and tailor to that. As women we want our jackets to be cinched at the waist! Long are the days that we are looking for a jacket with no shape. We have a shape, and want people to be able to see it, even if we are wearing a coat! The Chloe tapers in at the perfect spot, and women of all shapes and sizes would be grateful for its amazing tailoring.

How I styled this look: keep it simple! I follow my own rule (most of the time) and that’s to keep it to one statement piece at a time. If a bright yellow rain coat isn’t a statement, then I don’t know what is! For my top I threw on a black and white stripped shirt from H&M, tucked it into my American Eagle Jeans and topped the outfit off with my Hunter Rain Boots—which are also some serious rain gear.

The glam of this picture: I left my hair natural because I was styling a rain jacket, and if I was normally going out in the rain, I wouldn’t put any effort into my hair. Lately my hair has been doing this nice wave, which I really like—since my entire life I’ve had nothing but pin straight hair. As for my makeup, I have been into a really glowy look lately (who hasn’t), which entails a good amount of highlighter, pink tones on my eyes, and a simple Cocoa Butter chapstick on my lips.
